It seems that we all arrived OK.
The first “PerfectMatch.com” contest has been completed and I am still waiting to confirm the winner. A free 90 day membership at PerfectMatch.com is a great way to start 2008, right?
I’m hoping to have more great prizes for upcoming contests announced soon. Stay tuned.
It’s been a tough week, personally… but at least we have good old St. Patrick to celebrate. I’m going to search for some Irish dating services and see if I can find any worth telling you about. Watch the “New Sites” page for reviews http://www.alovelinksplus.com/dating/newsites.htm
It’s getting really hard to get a grip on the dating services that are coming out recently, as in whether they operate “above board” with you, the customer’s best interests at heart.
We only have to go back a few months when FaceBook (www.facebook.com) was attempting to track members actitivities, even off-site, and let others know what you were doing. Extremely upsetting. But this is just the part w eknow about… not necessarily pointing fingers, but this trend to trade private information into retail currency is disturbing.
It seems that anyone with a website can jump into online dating, without needing technical or even customer relation skills. Or even an identity of their own.
This makes it more important than ever to know who you are giving your personal and credit information to.
Just because a website has a login doesn’t mean they are secure, or even not out to sell your information later on. This is a trend that many “free dating services” are starting to get involved in. Your personal information is the currency they use to make money, selling your email, allowing third party advertising and even selling your dating profile to other dating services.
aLoveLinksPlus.com is now more than ever being stringent in the review process and not just publishing reviews of good, and great, dating services but also putting notices about the “not entirely safe” services that are online.
Should you ever have a question about a particular dating service, even if it hasn’t yet been reviewed, email me.
I’m only a few electrons away. (www.alovelinksplus.com/contact.htm)

This week is one of my favorite weeks… Valentine’s Day isn’t something just to share romantic notion for one day but with the emphasis on romance all around it’s a great time to make notes for the rest of the year… must be ready to be romantic at a moments notice, right people!?!
On that note, for the guys that know cooking a romantic dinner at home for their date is a great idea, but can’t boil an egg… there’s always www.dinewise.com that offers gourmet meals ready to serve… just heat and place on a plate. No one needs to know but your credit card company.
